The immortal Lefty Grove hurls a 3 hit shutout and faces only 30 batters for the A's in game 2. The Giants prevailed in the other 3 and will advance to Round 3 as they win the series 3 - 1. Willie Mays hit 2 homers and knocked in 4 in the opener. The rest of the series the Jints had a balanced attack and solid pitching that kept Double X and company in check.
